I know you are talking about mounting on a fibreglass canopy, rather than a metal/alu one - however a short bracket mount might work similar to this above?

Do you mind if I ask where you bought the lights and brackets from? Looking to do very similar on my truck!Couple of small LED motorbike lights on a bracket work well. I just used the canopy fixings that were there, with the wire gorilla taped round the window to the hinge and back to the tub to a switch.
Worthwhile mod.

Used the Amazon lights on 2 previous pickups, workable. Went to these on the current vehicle and much better. Connections are water tight and a lot easier to run.

In the process of installing a few of these:
Fortunately I had some quick release clamps and connectors squirreled away that will allow me to use the LR's external roll cage as the support structure.
Just need to fire-up the soldering iron and breakout my set of thread taps.
