Hi All,
thanks for all the replies lots of helpful people here.
However I should have been more specific as to what I’m after.
I have been reloading for 25 years, after much trial and error I ended up using mainly 4895 for jacketed and 4198 for cast.
Since REACH has banned these I need to switch. Jacketed is easy, loads of powders and data to choose from but replacing my cast loads is more difficult as I’m after the following;
Good case fill for consistency - no stringing due to variable powder placement in case, no chance of SSE detonation, no chance of double fill
Good velocity - close to matching jacketed bullets and military rifle sight settings
Better longer range ability than pistol powder rounds
I was hoping there may be a good replacement for the medium/fast 4*** rifle powders rather than using the faster pistol powders in small quantities.
