I have a S&B Zenith on one of my rifles that I intend to mount the bayonet fitting piece to so I can use my PardNV007s. I won't need the pard that often - mostly for very last light deer on a permission I have.
However, with all this shite weather I've been using either the scope bikini covers or an neoprene scope cover to protect the occular lens whilst stalking (I tend to carry my rifle barrel down). I'm getting vexed with sodding about taking off either of those two things when getting ready for a shot.
On another rifle I have the flip up lens covers for the scope which are great. So easy solution would be to get a pair of the Vortex or similar covers and put them on the S&B.
This issue is that I think I will need to get even larger diameter ones if I intend to the leave the Pard attachment permanently fixed to the scope. I've not used the Pard in anger yet and clearly when the fitting gets mounted on the scope the only thing that will currently protect the occular lens from rain etc will be the neoprene cover.
So, am I just buggering about for nothing and should simply fit the pard attachment and then use the neoprene cover or do any of you have a similar issue and have some sort of flip cap that enables the pard to be used successfully when needed and also protects the lens?
First world issues clearly....
