Variation...What would you choose

I don't know if you reload or not ? But think about the .17 fireball or .20 vartag less bark than the .204 less flip too.
I've shot Fox out to 250m at night and crow to 400m with my fireball.

22lr and hmr no worrys both have there place. You have the 6.5x55 as your main deer rifle.
And the 308 will do the boar when you go and also be good for some target work.

You have a 22/250 but want to see the hits thats why you want a 204. If thats the case then get rid of the 22/250.
As you will have to calibres close to each other and the money from the sale of the 22/250 can pay for the 204.

Have you shot a 204 ? I have shot my mates and to be fair. It still lifts a little on sight picture. Again all depends
On the rifle you pick. The heavier it is the less flip you will get. Bear that in mind when you pick as i couldnt really tell the difference in sight picture between his 204 and my 22/250

Hi Jay, my problem is...I dont like to sell my rifles :)...Especially the 22.250 I love it and it was my first centrefire. Mine is a Remington Model 7 so with a fully loaded round it flips quite a bit and even with a SS PEX muzzle can on the end you are taken totally off the picture when using a bipod. Dont get me wrong it shoots great and shot sub half inch groups with 40g Nosler BT's at the weekend and has taken planty of fox...I just fancy the 204 for some fox, rabbit and long range crow shooting. Ive found a used Howa varmint SS with thumbhole stock in 204 so hoping to get that.

Hmmm I should have been clearer... "Keep the 6.5x55 and get a .308" there that's clear.

Hi BH, not sure which post this is in reference to, cant see a previous one from you...However, dot worry the 6.5 aint going nowhere. if I had to see all of my rifles id be keeping this one without a doubt.
