Varmint type bullets... help!

Can anyone help?
I know that the thin-skinned Varmint type bullets like Hornady Vmax with the ballistic tips are explosive, but for the life of me, I can't find any info on what sort of explosive they put in the tip. Does anyone know what it is

I would have thought it needs to detonate on impact so would guess it's similar to priming compound. Have you tried emailing Hornady.

Do you happen to know the quantities they use? I've tried to dissect the tip, but can't see any. It must be a minuscule amount.

It's Tritium isn't it?
I use it for my home loads, but you have to drive it fast and don't use too much.
My mate works in a medical lab and smuggles it out for me in his spirit level.
