Hi All

Talking about my self isn't my strong point but as it is part of the guide lines lets give it a go.

I have been involved in shooting since 18/19 years of age and now 36, in fact started earlier as i started shooting air guns as a early teens with a Friend & his uncle. It got serious when i was 18 as i stepped into Shotgun shooting having lessons at my local club which moved quickly into applying for my license & purchasing to take part in planned games days & rough shooting. This then progressed pretty quickly into seeking a mentor to help me gain the experience needed for my firearms license starting with rimfires, first rifle purchased was a 22LR & used this for rabbits and shooting at a target club i joined, to then purchasing a 17HMR for same reason. During this time i was a member of a small rough shoot with about 500 birds going down i had the opportunity to do some fox control & got really into this resulting on my self acquiring my first centre fire rifle being a 223 and just doing pest control on a number of Farms. Through my job at the time i got to know a game keeper in Scotland who invited me up to do some Stalking & took me under his wing showing me all the does & don't gralloching, skinning & butchering. Had a fare few guided stalks with him until trusted to go out alone where i have shot a number of Red deer.

Since i have attended a number of purchased days on various locations where i learnt allot on how to stalk in different locations. The past 3 years i have been a member of a small syndicate shooting 3-4 roe a year which has been plenty for me and my family.

Calibres i shoot are 22lr, 17HMR, 243, 270. Surrender the 223 as use 243 for pest control and got messy with reloading different calibres & in my eyes the 223 wasn't needed.

Joined the group to speak to like minded people & i like to read peoples thoughts on experiences, kit reviews etc. & like i many things you never stop learning.
