Hi all, looking at vihtavuori load data for 6.5 creedmoor, says all load data based on lapua brass and small rifle primers.
All my reloading is hornady and sako brass + large rifle primers.
Has any one any advice on where to start load devopment usining lrp compared with their load data given, I have a load of n140 and want to use it up with some 95gr vmax ? Any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers

I use bullets at the other end of the scale, 143 & 147 grain, with hornady brass and large primers. I worked up loads using the Viht data and standard good practice of looking for pressure signs. Can't see any reason why you shouldn't do that with the lighter bullets. If I were to use them that's what I would do.

Start at the lower end and work up - it’s a free app

I also don’t use what they do. However it’s safe and prudent to start low and see how it works for you. Despite this every rifle is slightly different and you should (as Vihtavuor/ other manufacturers recommend) start low.

I only shoot Berger 130’s through my Tac a1. Bought some Hornady 140 eldM, never bothered with them as the Berger as so dependable.

You should get a decent round out of them, good for foxes at least.
