Virtus bullet video

Just look at those petals flying off, destined for the rumen
I'd say it depends on the size of the deer. It looked like the gel block was 6" square so not huge and some petals exited but had the block been thicker they may have only gone another couple of inches. On a muntjac that'd likely cause some issues but people experience the same with lead bullets now.

Looks like a good copper bullet for bringing the shot placement towards the hillar shot or through the shoulder or a good bullet for head and neck shooting.

Or if you really want to stick to the H/L shot and then there are plenty of other copper bullets available.

Urg. Glad I didn't take the leap from using Fox bullets in two new rifles recently. Yes, the block is small but those petals flying around serve no beneficial purpose over a well-expanded monolithic projectile and risk a great deal of harm to the carcass.

Which particular bullet was this? I believe they do have different styles, but from my brief research they all seem to be considered fairly volatile.
