Vulcan V3 FAC .25 - Tune Help

Hi, I’ve tried, and sort of done OK. I’d like to use it more so looking for someone I can give it to with the slugs and let them fiddle/tune it to be the best it can be, and hand it back to me in return for cash. I’m in Northants, any suggestions/volunteers? Many thanks, fordy

He’s miles away I’m in Northants but I wouldn’t want to mess about with it, have you thought about Perkins

I’m happy to travel and pay, just want to be able to use it confidently.

I think One on top of two has a Vulcan V3, and is not a fcuk wit.

Whats wrong with your V3 buddy ? Whats it not doing that you want it to do ?

it’s not grouping well, I just haven’t got the skill set, nor the patience to tinker with it to get it to shoot slugs in a decent group. I’ve put a Huma regulator in, and tried, but having to keep dumping the air, adjust, refill, test, dump the air, refill, test…….

It’s just not getting used, keep grabbing the 17HMR for the rabbits. Getting close to selling it, which would be a shame, as one of my permissions prefers air due to noise and horses nearby.

Whats your MV ?
What slugs you using ?
Whats your reg pressure ?
And when was the last time you cleaned the barrel ?
What sort of groups and what distance ?

first mistake is a humma reg in a V3. Not needed

I used to read on an American forum GTA , there was a Canadian very clever engineer Rhiern I believe was his name who did extensive developement work on PCP .
I think they favour 80 foot pounds with 25/35 slugs at 960 fps .

It’s the Huma reg turned up to full - Possibly will put the original back though
I’ll clean the barrel before next range trip
About 2" groups at 50m, with the odd flier
