Hi as above I’m looking for a beretta 12g semi automatic. 28” barrel 3.5” chamber preferred.

I've got a Hatsan semi auto 7 shot and I'm moving to Ireland where ut is not legal. Brilliant gun never has a stoppage or feed problem once I read the book and fed it 70mm cartridges. Genuinly love the gun but can't export,

why not just get through the proof house and have it returned to 3 shots, would that allow it to be legally held in Ireland?

I think you are right - I don’t even think it needs proof house. I will enquire.

I think you are right - I don’t even think it needs proof house. I will enquire.

The proof house will provide you with a certificate that it has been reduced to 3 shots from FAC. You need to keep the certificate with the gun in the UK, as it is logged in the system as a firearm the certificate is legal proof it is not. But once in Ireland its will probably undergo its first registration so the certificate may not be required after that. I had it done a few years ago, cost was about £200 i think from memory. But if you like the gun then its worth it. Not to mention a 3 shot if much easier to sell.
