Hmmm now if I can pry it out of dad's grubby little fingers..... perhaps I should get the waistcoat and a nice new strudy watch chain and start using the old Silver cased verge watch with bulls eye glass . Seems wasted sitting in a drawer.

i have had quite a few Seiko watches and realy like them, just bought a new one to replace my old one last month. Long story short I was hit at point blank with an old manual clay trap some idiot had left cocked. The watch took the brunt my hand was smashed up a bit but nothing broken. The watch was damaged tot he tune of £270 so when the insurance stumped up I decided to get a new one rather than repair. CWC would probably do you ok but If I remember right the standard Army Surplus are no good if they get submerged.

Check flea-bay for cwc,mwc or g10.My cwc has been ticking since 1995!!Also check out argos,as they often do good deals.

thanks for all replies. had a chance to read them now im back from hols. i guess after all this it could be said that if its to dark to see the hands on your watch them its to dark to shoot.
