started reloading a while back and now getting into the territory of understanding Coal. As much I’m as not really chasing perfection in my straight pull 223, it’s a good learning point.
With 62 grain fmj: 2.369 Coal and 2.027 Cbto
With v max 55grain: 2.240 coal and 1.847 cbto.
What’s confusing me is the vmax rounds are smaller than the standard spec of 2.260 Oal.
I couldn’t seem to push the round in further and checked a few times. Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way it is with vmax rounds due to their shape?
