What’s happened to Scotland

What's to stop you building more? There's plenty of derelict property in the highlands that could be restored and no shortage of space for new development. The Dear Leader would surely support a developing the highlands, especially if it drives away the deer and helps break up the estates of decadent landed Tories. Neither the SNP or the Greens care less about wildlife and loss of habitat, and both would love nothing more than a Mugabe land-grab. So they could easily throw estate owners out and overturn the legal protections for Scotland's highland landscape.

No one's being driven out of the highlands, so there must be a reason why they're not flocking back. Maybe something to do with there being no employment, no strategy to create any among the economically illiterate political establishment, and no money for a state-controlled building boom and highland repopulation without inviting in more Englanders with their London money.
