What age did you start stalking?

Not 100% but most likely 243

It's for roe & muntjac so I think that'll be plenty enough.

243 is a lovely round but can be a bit messy in small deer. Unless it’s a very still day (when I will be going for headshots and this is where the 243 comes into its own) I tend to use the 6.5 as just seems to make less mess.

I bet you shelf the 204 once you get an accurate load for a .243

The ol' 243 will have to bloody impress me for that mate, I love the 204 but yeah versatility of weights with 243 is appealing. And rifle choice compared to 204.

Just remember that .243 will fall into the non lead category in a few years I think its a great round though so a solid choice..though I do have a gaymoor as well

243 is perfect for Roe, Muntjac and foxing it's my goto foxing rifle, 58g superformance are just the job.
90g SP for deer.

No guns allowed in the house growing up so a relatively late start.

Stalking with a rifle started mid 40's for me. But often out watching wildlife with the Mk1 eyeball, bins or camera for decades before that

Do you have much of a zero issue with those two weights?

No mate I zero the 58g Superformance about 30mm high at a 100m, the 90g SP are usually depending on brand about bang on at a 100m.
I shoot the odd deer with the 58g vmax but dont recommended for chest/shoulder shots kneck/head.

First roe at about 21. Now 73 and still going (albeit a LOT slower..). Fortunate to have hunted and fished all over the place - Americas, Africa, Eastern Europe and Malaysia. The little roe deer is still my favourite...
