hi , just wondering , i clean everyday with a powerwasher , then i disinfect the run , ive tried every household disinfectant also , virkon b etc but the run still smells a bit fruity

we used to use an iodine disinfectant to was out the fisheries labs. kills everything and stains skin brown,
got rid of smells as well

buggered if I can remember the name.

I use Kennel Mate, does a good job on the kennel run and the dogs smell nicer for a day or two

Hi all ' Do not use Jeyes fluid as it can poison your dogs. Even when very diluted. Stay clear of any disinfectant that turns the water milky/white in colour. This was a vet's advise.

Ive heard this before but ive never took much heed of it, I dont know of any kennels that dont use it and never had a bother.

Ive also heard stories of vets saying that the dog is dead because of Jeyes, pinch of salt an all that.

Ive got two friends who run gun dog training kennels and have been using since day. And along as its dry before you put your dogs in there kennels there should be no problems we have had gun dogs in the family for 40 years and never had a dog poisoned by it so I go by people who have used it in the real world not what the text books say when they leave university just my opinion of course.....

Used jeyes for years! not killed a dog yet!

Have used jeyes with no problems for the last twenty years or so, have just changed to black only because it appears to be as good at half the price.
