Very slow day here in Edinburgh for me (as you will clearly see...)
Pondered what would happen if we woke up tomorrow and the antis had won, and all forms of game shooting were banned. Presume all the rural estates would have to start looking at rewilding and carbon credit offset forestry.
But all of that costs £££, whether in government grants or in lost tax revenue from emission dodging firms buying into this new deluge money pit...
So whilst obviously the rural economy will be massively sunk, would the rest of the economy actually manage to stay afloat with that too?
Back out loading on the partridges tomorrow so thankfully daft thoughts like this should cease...
