I've got no idea what kind of worm that is, or where it came from, but I'm pretty confident that it didn't come out of the meat and that it hasn't spent nearly three weeks of its life in your freezer.

Fairly confident that's an earth worm/lob worm, has to its journey into your fridge....not a clue!

The UK has trichinella free status.
APHA regularly test samples from shot foxes.
There is an export market to China for pork and offal because of it.

Probably the Mrs PorkChop is feed up eating venison and has loaded the worm up so she doesn't have to eat anymore for some time.

When I had pigs to slaughter they always had to be tested for trichinella but I was told its not in this country just one of these government things.

is it a roundworm? They can migrate from the gut to the muscles. Try defrosting another pack and see what you have.
They use the human or other body to stay alive, feed, and reproduce. If a lot of eggs have been swallowed, or if the worms move from the small intestine to other parts of the body, they can cause serious complications, such as bowel obstruction.

Have you got an allotment in the garden?
Do you bring stuff in from there , then put it in the same fridge?

That's exactly my thoughts.
