What knives do you use for the gralloch?

Nothing fancy, just a Mora Companion Clipper Knife in Orange.

Big shout out to @25 Sharps who kindly dropped off the Aliexpress knife I couldn't order but he somehow could and to be candid, for £25 I'm blown away (original thread here). Bluntly, it fits my hand perfectly, is not too broad and appears for £25 delivered to be well made. Very happy :thumb:

Pictured alongside a Casstrom Mini-Hunter (twice the price) and my well used and abused Mora (half the price), I think it's got a ready place in my stalking kit for those more delicate and especially tunneling jobs.

Thanks again @25 Sharps 👏

One of my custom ones from a maker who used to be from this parish. 3mm thick blade, SCANDI grind, Sandvik 12C27 steel. Razor sharp.

You’re very welcome, great to put a face to the name.

They are cracking little knives, just a smidge over the £25 mark with the tax but very good value for money.

This is the Stainthorp knife I mentioned, similar raised blade but different profile. Have done munties, roe and fallow with both and they cope well for their size!

I have an original W. Stockdale which is as good as the day it was made but not being used now.
It is for sale in the classifieds.
For day to day use I find a No12 Opinel carbon does the job. Takes a great edge and cheap enough to lose.

Just my normal snake, or if I've forgotten it a small locking pocket knife. Many years ago always used my lambsfoot pocket knife.
