What powder?

Looking for some help please.
I want to reload a 6.5creedmoore (insert jokes now).
I'm using norma brass, cci primers. I have hornandy eld-x 143gn bullets and also 140gn sst bullets.
I see that the round prefers slow to medium powder.....but I only have ramshot tac at present. The ramshot guide says I should use 'big game' for 140gn a max but does not show these specific bullets. My Lee guide does not show anything for 143 gn bullets, has 140 gn a max ...but tac isn't a powder they recommend.

So, thanks for reading this far.
Do you have a recommendation for powder for these bullets and know where I can get the data for a start load?
Many thanks.

Yes. Vhit N555, RS62 or H4350 (if you can get any of that). Do not use Ramshot tac!

If you're using LR primer brass in Norma, in RS62 a favoured load is around 42.5gr or thereabouts (work up testing for pressure signs, start at 41gr). With SR primer brass, my accuracy nodes were all around 44gr RS62 with 140 class bullets.

Try looking for SuperFormance (around £50 per lb), not a very popular powder compared to Viht and RS Swiss Powder (which are over £100 per kg now).

6.5 StaBall could be a decent option.

RL26 can be found on the shelf next to angel's tears and unicorn dung. Also made by RS but comes bottled from the US, dealers quoting around £70+ per lb now.

I use RS62 for bullets above 120gr, and RS60 for bullets below 120gr in my CM.

The RS60 under a 100gr Barnes TTSX is a potent combo.

I use the 130gr ELDM's for target work rather than the 140gr as I prefer the faster velocity.

I reload 6.5. Viht N160 has always done for me, especially on the heavier, longer bullets, 140 and up 👍

Sorry to high jack.
I’ve got n160 large federal primers and Hornady cases. What would be a good not to destructive bullet for muntjac and roe

I like 130 grain Sierra Gamechangers or Tipped Game King as their sometimes called. They are a quality, accurate bullet and very effective. They get the job done alright!
Ask 10 different people and you'll get 10 different answers. 😉
