My old GSP bitch once pointed a sika hind and calf hiding under bracken during a field trial. The point was a bit ‘ odd” so I mentioned to the judge that it might not be a bird. When she flushed them both judges and guns fell about laughing.

My Norfolk terrier points the aga if there is something cooking, he even knows which of the 4 ovens it’s in!

When the Doberman was about 8 months old we took her to a local national trust park with the police dog handler we did some training with. After a bit of lead work we let her off for some recall stuff. Once she was unclipped she ran from us towards a pond about 200 yards away, both me and the handler looked at each other. When she got to the pond she erupted into barking and flushed a photographer in a ghille suit from the rushes! I knew I’d got a good one then!
