Where to get Magtech/CBC 24ga brass shotshells?

Brass shotgun cases became less popular when the VCR bill made it a requirement to have a FAC to buy metalic ammo primers which the brass shotgun cases required. So likely if the majority using them only had a SGC and were unable to buy primers the resulting fall in demand for the cases has made it such that it just does not justify importing any.
I believe either FAC or SGC is acceptable to buy primers? It specifically mentions other authority and certificate to which the firearm relates.

In the meantime here's a picture of my lovely new rifle and all the goodies I got with it.View attachment 427565
Congratulations, lovely set, 20 cases is plenty and can last a lifetime. You don’t need to resize them once fired in your chamber.

Spud get them in whenever there is a large enough quantity on back order. It’s been a year or so since the last so I suspect it won’t be too long to the next.

I have a few boxes put by and a set of forming dies which are set into lee breach locks, this is how they came to me,
PM me if these are of use to you,
pic of mine, bony thing, not historically accurate, but it shoots spot on,

SGC are you sure? as that’s not how it reads.

c) he produces a certificate authorising him to possess a firearm of a relevant kind;

d) he produces a certificate authorising him to possess ammunition of a relevant kind;

“ammunition of a relevant kind” means ammunition for a firearm of a relevant kind;

“firearm of a relevant kind” means a firearm other than a shot gun, an air weapon or a firearm chambered for rim-fire ammunition.

Is that a modern reproduction? Looks brand new

Crazy that the country which produced thousands of these rifles and the ammo for them now produces no ammo at all for them and we are struggling to find any and paying through the nose for them when we can find them.
Yes. Kynoch could perhaps have become the Fiocchi of England doing small batch runs of ammunition and cases. But it wasn't to be.

By my logic at least, shotgun is a firearm and a SGC authorises you to purchase ammunition for a shotgun. Apart from usual shotgun cartridges a lot of “shotguns” is chambered in rifle or pistol cartridges (loaded with blanks or shot for sale on a SGC).

  • produces a certificate authorising him to possess a firearm of a kind with which the primers being bought can be used;

However it explicitly states

ammunition of a relevant kind” means ammunition for a firearm of a relevant kind;

firearm of a relevant kind” means a firearm other than a shot gun, an air weapon or a firearm chambered for rim-fire ammunition.

Clearly the idea is only a person with a FAC with a relevant firearm/ammunition can buy metallic primers, eg. .223 small rifle primers.

Educate me 😊

Apart from usual shotgun cartridges a lot of “shotguns” is chambered in rifle or pistol cartridges (loaded with blanks or shot for sale on a SGC).

please give an example available , thanks.

Where does it say “firearm of a relevant kind” means a firearm other than a shot gun, an air weapon or a firearm chambered for rim-fire ammunition.

Good afternoon. You wouldn’t by any chance have any of those 24 gauge brass cases left?
