Which Mora knife?

I'm in need of some guidance having got myself confused (usually not too difficult).

I know the knife question is one that can get people going . As a relative newbie, I thought it time to actually get a proper knife rather than 'muddling through'. Having read through some previous threads, I've decided upon a 'cheapie' Mora. The question I'm not so sure of is which one to get. I've seen reference to the Mora 2010 in previous threads but can't find that in the current Mora product range. Their main 'cheapie' one seems to the the Companion.

I appreciate that orange hardly falls into the "tastefully understated" category but the colour would seem to have practical advantages!

I have bought two Mora companions in blaze orange. They are a nice little knife and easy to find when you mate puts it down and can't find it in the grass.

There's a reason it's cheaper, the model he is considering is more than twice the knife when compared to the BW "tattie parer"!

Same as what I use, mine has the carbon blade, sharpens up lovely but can dull quite quick if you skin a muntjac

got both sharpen them on a warthog sharpener the bush knife takes a beater edge

Get yourself a Bahco..........this thread has been going on them on another forum since 2012!

I have one that only needs a tickle on one of Peter Eason’s quality leather strips to remain scary sharp after 5 years of disrespectful use.

I've used the 511 for years all it needs is a good stropping after use to keep it in good order, I've also used the Robust and the Pro S version in stainless, there all good value for money.
I used to get them in person from Chas Ohlson when there local branch was open now I just order them online.

If you are like me and can only sharpen a knife properly with a guided sharpener (i.e., at home), then I suggest spending a bit more cash and getting a knife with a hard steel (at least Rockwell 60). This will hold a shaving sharp edge for a whole day of use in the skinning type use in the field, and maybe even longer. It doesn't have to be a fancy stainless super steel - properly heat treated O1 steel will get above 60 Rockwell, as will A2.
