Which Mora knife?

Had a mora for years and its taken abuse that no knife should be put through , for such a cheap blade you can't go wrong but as said previous get 2.

I have expensive bespoke hand made knives and I have a couple of Moras. The Moras get the most use. They're cheap, light to carry, easy to keep sharp, easy to sterilise and I wouldn't cry if I lost one.

There is certainly a genuine pleasure in using a quality hand made knife, but for daily tasks the Mora is king. Even if I had a Westley Richards or Purdey Rifle it would be the Tikka T3 that gets the nightly foxing duty. Same principle with the knives.

DONE;)spare.

I think it used to be called Mora 911. I agree with the brilliance of this knife - it stays razor sharp and is cheap and very grippy. I also own mora companions and have found them harder to sharpen and less likely to keep an edge. Carbon steel is real!

I've got 3 or 4 moras knocking about the place, done a full butcher on sheep with them a few times, cracking knives for the price. They can be got in bright colours which is handy if you're prone to putting your knife down and loosing it!

Glad you like it. I wouldn't like to give a recommendation for you to find it unsuitable.

Everybody should buy at least 10 Mora knives. Good quality, cheap stalking knife. Plus your helping the Swedish economy :-D .

I have 3 Moras. Although I've bought some more, presents for fellow hunters!

My favourite for gralloching the basic 546, a bit smaller blade.

The "tastefully understated" fluorescent orange Mora Companion arrived yesterday. Unless I misplace it on a mountain of satsumas, it doesn't look like the kind of thing it will be easy to loose!:-D

As other people have said, even if it does get lost, it's not going to break the bank to replace.
