Which plasterers bath?

So I went and bought a gamecarrier for the tow bar; the Heck-pack galvanised 1200x500x125. Both for deer, bags of wheat and general ‘stuff I want to keep out of the boot’

After wrestling a largish fallow buck ( three years old but very poor head ) into the boot of the Touareg I’d be happy to have something lower as well….

I’ve looked online but can’t see a plasterers bath that will suit the carrier, there must be one, but rather than drive round all the local builders merchants I thought I’d ask!?

I don't use a game carrier, but for the back of a Ford Ranger the below sits very neatly lengthways (with two side by side if required) and can swallow a surprising amount of animals. They have, from what I remember paying for it, nearly doubled in price though!

Better price than toolstation and delivery to your door for free. I have one of each and they’re exactly the same. Easily fit a large fallow buck

Thank you for the heads up.

I have one from Toolstation and was surprised at the hike in price when I was looking to buy another having adapted the first to the quad bike.

Thanks for confirming they are the same quality, I will order one.

when I had a pickup I added drag rope holes / tie down wet or snow they made a good way to get an easy drag.

I've not found one either to fit in the base of the heckpack as it's only 48cm. What I do have is a strata 175l box with lid on that fits in. Ideal for a couple of prickets. Mine lives inside and I use the heckpack for foxing

That’s what I’m after -one that fits the Hechpack…. I’ve got 80cm x 80cm by 15cm garlands deep potting trays for the boot but it’s a bit small for anything other than a couple of does… this larger buck just fitted.

I could remove the divider but tbh I’d rather carry the deer outside…

My Zoro bath arrived today, but it definitely is not the same as the ToolStation one I had from 2017...identical mould and etc and I am sure it will be fine for our purposes.

I haven't measured it with a calliper, I will do tomorrow, but measuring side by side with fingers I would say it is 3/4 the wall thickness of the ToolStation bath, which makes it a bit floppier.

I bought my toolstation one about a year ago before they hiked the price and it’s exactly the same as the zoro one. It’s probably gone like everything else, spend less making the product and charge more for it! Still, both of them do exactly the same job

2.35mm average lip thickness for my original Toolstation bath, bought in March 2017

1.80mm average lip thickness of the Kennedy-Pro from Zoro, bought December 2022

Be interesting to hear what the current Toolstation lip thickness is...whether they maintained the original quality and thus had to up the price.

Of the zoro or tool station baths- can anyone give me the dimensions at the base? Still not got one to fit the heck pack carrier - all the rims on websites are either an average or the maximum dims at the top? They look like they taper to the base?

Hi Andy what are the dimensions of your carrier? In particular the side edges as it dies taper so this will be important. I’ll measure my tool station one thus afternoon if your let me know the carrier dimensions.

Cheers
