I have just taken delivery of the MD50 as a small compact spotting scope when I don’t want to lug around anything large. It works and was £50 on eBay.

Cley Spy , Norfolk are the people to talk to about spotting scopes .
You can try before you buy too . None of this 10 yard monkey stuff . Im talking seeing a 5 bar gate about a mile away and your told to focus on the bolts that are holding the gate in place .
