Which thermal - Infiray Fh35r or Hik Micro condor

Hi all,

In the market for a thermal, both units seem to be great pieces of kit, anyone have anything say about one over the other?

Currently the Infiray can be found for about £1400 new which is quite a saving over the condor

Condor every day of the week. The FH35r uses I proprietary battery, is designed for right handed use only, worst element is that on white hot is struggles to differentiate between a log in the sun and a deer.

Condor on the other hand has none of these issues. It’s only real downside is that the RF won’t function when the battery is 25% or below. Something I hope they will sort with a software update at some point.

What is the condors battery life like? Seen some people say it chews through a battery in less than an hour?

condor all day
I got rid of my own FH25 finder for Condor 35

If you are chewing the battery in an hour turn the wifi off and stop pinging every bloody fence post
They last a good few hours, take up no space to carry a spare and cost feck all (unlike some batteries)

We have both 35 and 50 Condors in stock

Have a Condor 35, with rangefinder. Battery life is poor, image OK. Wish I'd bought the new Finder instead. I had the mark one FH35R and found it more comfortable in the hand and somewhat more intuitive than the Condor.

Condor CQ35L with the bigger sensor and wider FoV than the 50 as mentioned above. I haven't run out of first battery on an outing but carry two spares and swap to a charged one when doing post-outing admin along with putting ammo away and putting used battery on charge and cleaning/sharpening knife if it has been a success! Image is fantastic. Happy buyer.

Condor 35 is a fantastic bit of kit, battery life on mine is around the 3.5/4hr mark, comes with 2 spare and double charger so always plenty power available.

I bought the condor when it launched after looking through various thermals at a demo night. It was by far the best image and also feel in the hand however like most people was really disappointed with the battery life as was only getting 1 hour at most. HIK released an update after getting feedback on this issue and it fixed this issue, easily get 2 hours plus on a standard battery and carry a couple of spares just in case. They have also listened to feedback on the front lense cover which was very loose and didn’t stay in place, sent me a new version FOC when i contacted them and it’s significantly better. Can’t fault their service and the image is outstanding.

Is the lens cover magnetic?
So it sticks to the handle strap pad rather then hanging down??

Some mixed feedback here and some interesting replies..

Condor battery indicator is not super accurate, battery life is approx upto 4hrs . LRF will stop working after approx 2hrs use..

Infiray Finder LRF operation is throughout the 4-6hr usage per battery.

Finder FH35 640x480 vs Condor CQ35 640x480 . The Infiray target image is sharper and more detailed at longer range.

Finder has a HDMI output for vehicle mounting.

£1399.99 vs £1799.99

Both great monoculars for the money, but if you want to save £400 at the current deal prices, then you buy a Finder, because the savings outweigh even a brand choice option. No brainer.

Another factor is the faster F0.9 lens system with metal flip lens cap over a rubber cap on a string. Seriously there is no better deal on the market currently than this one for a 640x480, 20mk compact LRF system...
Even more so again if you want the best image from a HDMI direct connection to screen on a vehicle setup, which is very handy to have...

This is not an FH25 though, it's a totally different model ! It's not a FH35 either or an FH35 II, its a FH35R V2 the latest version, 20mk/F0.9

The best thing to do is, compare them first hand.... ;)
