Who knows their Boar?

Iron age pigs ARE wild boar crossed with a domestic breed, usually tamworth, but Id say you had some mixed breeds from the domestic side. Like you say, the piglets are usually stripey. But its not important, the role in/ and impact on the environment will be the same, and the pork will be superb. Are you planning on managing them as a sporting game species?

All the best

We had a couple of these ugly things on the ground last year (still can't program the camera data!)

Got rid of them swiftly - ours are now pretty much only Sus Scrofa.
