Wildcat Evolution or Wildcat Predator 8 Moderator ?

want to buy sound mod for my .308 howa rifle. what do you think which is better evolution or predator 8 ? or maybe there is better sound moderator for similar price ?

Wildcat Predator 12 will calm the bark of the 308.
Weight permitting of course, but it isn't that much heavier than the 8.

Have an EVO on one of my 308s and works a treat. No exp of predator. Also have a DPT which is lighter and shorter for the go to 308 for everyday stalking

had aim sport triton predator b4 didnt like it as it was to small for me lol.

I’ve just put a evolution on my tikka 243 and it’s brilliant I held the predator 8 and thought it was way too big and heavy might be worth trying it on your gun too see how it balances out and think if your using it in a higher seat etc would room be an issue

I've got 2 Evo's one on a 243 and the other on a 7mm08 , my other 243 has a pred 8 both are great priced well made mods . Without doubt the Evo's are better for stalking as they are a lot lighter. In comparison I would say the Pred 8 cuts sound better and the extra weight reduces recoil

Both very good moderators from a company with excellent customer service, and a British company to boot.
The evolution is much much lighter than the predator and thus more suited for a rifle that will only fire a limited number of rounds at any one time e.g. stalking.
The predator is far heavier duty job and more suited to a rifle that may be used on the range to shoot a larger number of rounds.

I have used a predator 8 for a number of years and am entirely happy with it but when I buy another moderator it will probably be an evolution purely for the weight saving.

I have a evo on a .243 tikka and i love it i find it very quiet little to no muzzle flip and very easily serviced

Evo is light and will do the job perfectly. You wont see much if any difference from the pred 8 other than the extra weight. If going for that extra weight, then you may as well go for the predator 12 and you will notice a sound reduction between evo and 12.

I have an EVO on my .270 and it does a very good job in timing it so you will not go wrong with it IMHO. I have No experience with Predator version
though....
