Hi gents and ladies,

Based in Worcestershire. Shoot a variety of different setups, air rifles (FAC and sub 12), .22 Rimfire and a .223 Tikka. I've recently purchased a Mossberg Hushpower shotgun which I am yet to try. I have a couple of small local permissions where I mainly shoot rats, foxes, rabbits and pigeons as crop protection for the farmer (hence I bought the Hushpower). I use a lot of night vision scopes and thermal spotters and am hoping to try my hand at deer stalking in the near future. Always on the hunt for new permissions. Mainly joining because whenever I Google a question to do with shooting this is always one of the first pages that comes up, so I thought it could be useful!

There's a club in Norton, but only 50m and centrefires on certain days/times. One towards Tewkesbury but quite a closed community and very arduous joining process.

Option I'm going for is one in Monmouth, 100mm tunnel range open very evening and they book days on MOD ranges etc. Applied there a couple of weeks ago. Non member FAac holders can shoot there for £6 a go. After about 5 times a year they expect a membership application.

Got my first centrefire a few months ago so have been in a similar boat to you.

Yeah I live very close to the Norton one, have sent numerous emails chasing a membership but never hear anything back. Will check out the Monmouth one, thanks.

I too did the same, decided to just go down there but they have keycard access and locked gates. Hung around outside long enough for the chairman to notice me and got talking. Really nice guy but was the normal situation of they had filled their new member intake for the year etc. No followup communications

Not quite on your door step

Minsterley Ranges just out side Church Stretton, 100m & 50m ranges along with sporting clays.

Corinium Rifle Range outside Cirencester, 100m range with running boar target and life size steel deer targets out 250m. The Rolls Royce of ranges. Full disclosure I am a member!!
