A big day was had yesterday with heading into the hospital for a foot checkup (driven by niece) and last minute shopping for the hordes that will descend on the house over the next week which resulted in me having an early night as i was TBFAR.
Voila! I woke at an unbelievably late 4.13 AM fresh as a randy buck ferret and headed out into the hills and found a boy deer after the usual twin coffee`s. He is a young 3-4 year old,a big solid muscular mountain boy with a patch of fresh wallow mud evident on his rump that glistened in the early light.
His antlers are well rubbed and ready to be cast at anytime,he will do the Pom arriving next year for an eye opener, that is if he is ever seen again. (the stag)
Time was 5.50 AM and as you can see its bloody poor dawn light, nonetheless I rolled a few minutes of video and took a screen capture from the video for those that have an interest in deer hunting. The birds as usual are joyous in their song.
