The issue with the old photon i found was getting crosshairs in the middle of screen. Do you know if that is fixed on RT?
If your rifle/scope combo has issues with the crosshairs off centre, it will still be a case of shimming mounts or using an adjustable mount setup.

no, not fixed. my xt was spot on, the rt has run out of adjustment and looks like it will be going back monday. there a fault in the software too as cant load files to pc or laptop.
The Photon RT has digital zoom and usually, when that function is activated it brings the cross hairs back to the centre of the screen even although they may not be central when digital zoom is not used.
It certainly happens in the Ward thermal scopes and they even managed to get it to happen (eventually) with the ATN X Sight

Did you "extreme" the photon or was it standard? I put the adaptor and 135mm camera lens on mine which exposed 4 screws behind the adaptor which I could tighten or loosen and so prevented me having to fanny about shimming it.
