I bought one when I picked up my new .308 two weeks later I bought two more to replace the ones on my other rifles. The second two were about £75 cheaper than the first one.

Hi Tikkat3

Im afraid im to far away ,just wondered why such a bargain price is the quality still there on the cheaper scopes ?

I was thinking about 2-8 x 42 to keep the rifle nice and light as ive gone for a sako finnlite !

ive currently got a s&b 8x56 which is great in low light, but i like the idea of the lumm dot as i tend to loose the crosshairs on my s&b against the black fallow.
also a little more mag wouldnt go a miss sometimes, anybody got a 3/12x50 duralyt lumminated ?????????????

sorry to jack the thread 375mag

Nothing cheap about the quality, to be honest, i'd rather buy two of these 3x12x50 I,R's than one of the more expensive, all you seem to get for double the money is whistles and bells, even more to go wrong and to worry about, i think if i'd bought one with adjustable paralax, target turrets etc i'd only become anal about the bloody thing and be forever adjusting it, for me, mine shoots straight every time, doesn't loose zero even if i accidently knock it taking it in and out of the cabinet and the optics will far out perform me, as i've said before, i was shooting foxes on the corn stubble without a lamp, what more could you want out of a scope?

I've got a 3-12x50 illum. Haven't used it yet but have compared it at twilight with my Zeiss Victory x56, my Zeiss Classic 8x56 and my Swaro and I think it'll prove to be excellent value.

Scott9.3x62, just wondering if you could answer a question for me? how do you guys shoot a moving kangaroo in the middle of a bounce? do you use a bipod with sprung legs?

had a look through one last week and the binos, i liked the scope, i would go illuminated if i was going to have one as the recticle is really fine. the single fine dot illuminated was excellent

Just got back from Sweden last week and saw two Duralyt scopes with problems, my mates stopped focusing everything was blurred and could not be focused it seemed as if something had moved inside, the image did move as you turned the focusing but not enough to make it clear, he didn't remember bumping or banging it.
The other was one of the guys in the hunting team had got his wet and it had condensation in it.
Both these were purchased in Sweden so maybe a faulty batch, but the only two guys using Duralyt and both of them with something wrong!!!

I must admitted when i looked through my mates before it was knackered i was quite impressed with the optics, forgot to say both were illuminated versions.

Very happy with my 3-12x50 IR. Only had it a few weeks so can't vouch for reliability, but could see clearly enough a few weeks back to comfortably take a dusk shot of about 210 yards when things were starting to get iffy through the binoculars, if that tells you anything. Plenty good enough for me.
