Zulus 4k Tubed - Some footage and first impressions.

You not see me mention Fat Taint....

I did mate but knew it would go downhill really quick if I commented lol.

To be fair the farming community are custodians of the countryside so fair play 👍 They keep our green and pleasant land greenish and keep the BMW and JLR dealers in business :)

Great write-up. Why is there not the same enthusiasm for the similar Pard Night Stalker? Im trying to decide between Zulus 4k, another Alpex 4K or the Pard, for my .17hmr, currently wearing a Delta Titanium 1.5-9.
I have the Pard Nightstalker 4K EX and its really good. The base mag is x5.5 which is perfect and means its much less pixellated as you zoom in. It has a much bigger and higher res screen in the eyepiece and the side focus is much better than the objective focus on all the other options (in my opinion!). Its well built and pretty light (much lighter than the 4K Alpex). The built in LRF and IR is also really nice and compact and easy to use. Have shot plenty of rabbits with it and its great.

Downsides? The auto recoil record is a bit hit and miss. The low light performance in colour isnt as good as the 4K Alpex but it has a smaller objective lens so not surprising. I shot a fallow doe at the weekend in woodland about 15-20min after legal first light and it was too dark for the colour. It has an internal battery and an 18650 but drains both at the same time rather than one then the other. Battery life seems very good even when using IR.

Thanks for such a detailed write up. Thinking of getting one of these for my .22. I've got a Thermnight on my .308 and love it but it was tricky to zero as pressing that freeze button whilst holding the rifle still is not as easy as pulling the trigger! I ended up getting the MIL values for the X and Y axis numbers and fine tuning it the old fashioned way! That timer delay should help a lot though

It does help a lot. So easy now to get it precisely zeroed in 3 shots after fitting the scope. 1 at 25yds to make sure it was on paper, then 2 at 100yds and it was within 1/8th of an inch. So much less fuss than zeroing the thermal :D
