Home made Lift

With some new stalking land in North Essex secured and a few big boys in that area I decided to re-use a jib made for lifting a job I did from time to time on site which worked of my welding trailer..

I made the rear bumper as the standard ones are crap, 90x90x8mm box... the jib slides over the end of the box.
All you need is the deer off the ground and then swing it on the tail-gate...

How's it fitted to the bumper ? looks like its now over wide pass your arches and the police may give you a tug from that pic feller or is it removable from the tow ball? not the best of your it show and tell pix  just thinking as an old tester if it is a permanent over hang then ? drive by snag + man on push bike = finger wagging from the blue boys ?? but you prob have that sorted knowing you lol, good I :stag:deer

Edit message to self read all the post ( it slide's over the bumper ):coat::thumb:

It is obvious to me it slides over the end of the bumper and only protrudes when in use...

Nice one Tim.

Very Kind of you to say...

Looks like an excellent way to avoid a sore back!

What is the swivel / bearing configuration? A bolt and the plate faces?

Alan

Yes Alan, 2 bits of 13mm off cuts with a 16mm 10.9 nm bolt, In its original form I used it to lift the old type acetylene cylinder in my mobile welding trailer on a change over when empty. Also the 3 meter cutting heads off piling rigs were a bit much and to get the end off the ground when putting new tip holders on was much easier!!
