We will again be at the Scone Gamefair - and again in great company with Rob & Jess of Monarch. You will find us toward the lower end of Gunmakers Row.

Rob will detail separately their plans, but we will be along with -

1. A range of Sauer Rifles - both demo show models and stock for sale.
2. Details still to be finalised, but hopefully a selection of rifles from Ruger, Haenel and possibly Merkel - particularly the 10/22 and Haenel Jaeger 10
3. A broad range of Minox scopes
4. Details still to be finalised, but hopefully a selection of Meopta Optics
5. A large range of Vortex Binoculars & Spotting Scopes
6. Jaffa Cakes ( ask nicely )
7. Minox Scout Cameras
8. Possum Hollow Bore Guides
9. Cleaning gear from Dewey, Pro-Shot, Butches, Birchwood etc
10. Really pleased that we will have along a selection of Ballistol products for the first time. Quirky and a bit unbelieveable - but good. As per usual, we have only stocked this item after trying it out for ourselves. Its a great rejunvenator and non-toxic - so we're planning to try it on Bog Trotter...:D
11. New Mods from ATEC & ASE and a few secondhand models at sensible prices.
12. Small selection of secondhand rifles.
13. Lanskey Fold A Vee and 4 rod sharpeners
14. The really good Diver Dave's DWR - water repel sprays that proved so popular at Kelso.
15. Robertson Stick Kits and parts
16. Ruger 10/22 spares and the BX-1 & BX-25 magazines - super reliable and great quality.
17. All the usual advice and question answering regards DSC1 & DSC2 - and details of the forthcoming Cairngorm National Park Authority Ladies DSC1.
18 A small selection of secondhand reloading bits n bobs - mostly die sets and a selection of bullets.
19. And of course Z Aim Pro Slings ( and spares!!!! ) with the oportunity to try out the sling on our demo rifle. Please come and tell us how you've got on with your Z Aim sling.

All this with John wandering about a bit bewildered and my knees on display no matter what the weather does...

We look forward to seeing you there.

Is Barry on the stand with you ?

As Above Andy & John certainly have some great kit on board this time!

We will be bringing a wide range of kit with a few new products

> Deer calls - Buttulo's, Nordik Roe, Cherrywoods etc
> Larder equipment - gambrels, bone saws, nitrile gloves
> Knives - Big range of Mora Companions, Mora butchery ranges, Buck, OutDoor Edge, Casstrom
> Beaton's Midge Jackets
> "Ghillie" Roe Sacks will be finally back in stock & also the new Waist Pack Compact Roe Sacks - we gave some to Andy/John to sell last year as we were not at the show & on the first day folk were running to their stand get these - hence they had sold out in the first 2hrs!
> We have a new Hill Slip - these are based on the traditional Brady 610 with hand sewn leather "Blocked End" (made in the UK by Phil Ogden) - we don't have many of these but will be looking to introduce them to our current range.
> Rovince Anti Tick Clothing - Many folk on hear will have heard how popular this range has become, so come and check out the trousers, shirts etc.
> Lowa Boots - This German brand of stalking boots (also hiking/trekking ranges) is becoming very popular in the UK with the shooting fraternity, Lowa UK have kindly agreed to accept us as one of their UK distributors, also Mark from Lowa UK will be joining us on Friday to answer any queries - we will have stock of their Hunter GTX boot & we will be listing them on our website shortly.

Look forward to seeing you at the show :thumb:

Barry? Turns out he never left; we found him curled up in a transit case when we started packing stock at the weekend :D

Always welcome.

Lowa boots - without heading toward marketing 'love fest' - my hands down favourite boots. Whilst one person can never really recommend a boot to someone else- all feet are different and what fits one person may not fir anotyer etc. But build quality is top quality and I've never had any issue with them. Well worth trying if you get chance to do so.

Sadly, timings and not least delivery lemgth means we wont be able to get the Ruger/Haenel/ Meopta bits fully sorted for Scone.

All else sorted - new batch of Ballistol in today.

But the Jaffa cakes are defn available!

I to will be there, My wife has a stall selling her hunting/shooting cushions etc [rodan country crafts]. in the craft tent.
If anyone wishes to talk face to face about my stalking or wildfowling offers Please come and find me there.
I will visit anyone I see of this site.

Despite some vicious rumours - the Jaffa cakes re STILL available..... I did take the precaution of buying a VERY big box....

Van sorted and will be heading down in the morning - so off line until Monday now.

I had a good day at Scone today. When with a list of bits & pieces to buy - had a really enjoyable day, good crack and purchased what I went for - set of Decoy quad sticks from Best Fox Call, midge jacket and bino cover from Monach Outfitting (never got offered a Jaffa cake!!!) and my annual 2 cotton shirt for £18 from Rydales!

They are like that Andy keeps a tight grip on then Jaffa cakes.

How was the ground muddy ? going Sunday wellies needed?

Was fine today. One heavy shower but otherwise dry until we left at about 3:30. Dry and clean enough to walk about in shoes or trainers.

Don't think the forecast to too great for tomorrow though

Hi All

Big thanks to all who visited the Moray/Monarch stand on Friday & the weekend - good to speak to lots of forum members & regular customers!

The big hit for us was showing the Lowa boots for the first time with lots of sizes selling out by Saturday - these will be listed on our website shortly when re-stock arrives.

Thanks also to John & Andy for helping out me and Mrs Monarch at rush periods and for the Jaffa Cakes!

Br

Rob

Good to meet up with you again Rob and have a bleather! I will let you know how I get on with the new boots when I have had them on a few times.
Sadly no jaffa cakes came my way Barry must have got them all,
All the best
Martin.

Came back looking for more reloading bits to go with the press from kelso but nowt there:dummy:
maybe next time
great day out and loads to see...missed the jaffa cakes ah well

Look there's more to life than Jaffa cakes ....

.... there were Choc chip cookies as well! :D

Apologies for the strained atmosphere - Mrs Monarch seemed determined to inflict 5 fuit and veg a day on all staff present and my assertion that Jaffa is a WHO recognised fruit and hence 5 packets a day were fine led to some heated discussion.

The said confectionary was on open display behind the glass counter to encourage requests. SD aren't usually a shy lot! In fact we had a major Jaffa surfeit after Bogtrotter & Clan arrived bringing a considerable quantity of additional supplies! We had actually requested 'AMMO' and it was a near repeat of BT's efforts at Mafeking... ( NOT Jaffa King - easy mistake I suppose ). Seriously - very generous of him.

Good to see many faces - as usually, we got regularly swamped so my apologies to those that did not get anywhere near enough attention.

A bit of a shot in the daek here - but on Sunday Morning a very nice lady and family were along looking at binoculars. They had a small lad with them who was keen on the Vortex monocular. Think it would be about 10-30AM. Shortly afterwards a customer picked up a red cloth bag containing a pair of bi-focal sunglasses. I dashed out after the family - but couldnt find them. We notified the event organisers and had the bag hung prominiently behind the counter - but never returned. we have them safe here. If anyone knows the lady or hears of someone who lost the glasses please let us know and we'll get them back to her.

We will be at Moy at the start of August - details to follow!

Thanks again to all who visited and to Rob & Jess for all their help and good company.
