I have two Lurchers, Sox is retired and has Arthritis in one of her front legs, she was a brilliant working dog with ferrets and nets in the day time and very useful at night under the lamp on Rabbits.
Jeff, her son on the other hand turned out to be as much use as an ashtray on your motorbike on anything ... but would I move him on? Not on your life, he adores my Mrs and will lay down with her for hours on end. (I should add that my Mrs is extremely unwell)
But those credentials don`t make a scrap of difference to the unsavoury types. A dog is a dog is a dog .. sad but true.

they don't 'feed' them to anything they are worth far more alive than dead to the puppy farming dog breeding pedlers it's mega business now between ROI and mainland uk 500-900 quid a pup for a lot of designer breeds cockerpoos etc etc working dogs are just as sought after by the scum too the hands should be cut off them imho

Dog theft is already a criminal offence as far as I know. Maybe the petition is barking up the wrong tree asking for new laws, it might be better to insist the law is applied as it should be?

Don't talk out of your backside Landkeeper. My mate's dog is a castrated old dog. What use if that to a puppy farmer? I know that it will have been put in with a fighting dog. Obviously I haven't told him, his wife or his 4 kids that though!

Castrated is what should happen to the filthy *******s that steal someones dog to be put in a pit to fight.... just my view on the matter

no use , but do you think when scrotes scoop up dogs they stand and look them over for a full examination ? no they are whipped into a vehicle and away it was probably thrown out a few miles down the road dog stealing is epedemic now here and your side of the water and its working type dogs and cuddly fluffy types seems to be the common target

Not when there is a well advertised poster campaign with a £500 reward they don't. The caravan dwellers only lived one field over. They didn't need to drive it anywhere. They could have just let it go if they had stolen it for breeding as soon as they realised that it was castrated. They didn't because they didn't steal it for breeding. They don't need hardly any dogs for breeding anyway. Bitches are what they want. You're very wrong on this Landkeeper and need to accept it!

A few years ago dogs were stolen in Sunderland, the police investigated and found a pit in the woods out Durham way. The thief was stealing dogs purely to throw to his fighting dogs.
