BASC Council Elections

The ballot for BASC Council elections opened yesterday.I am standing for election in Wales. Given the recent staff turmoil at BASC I believe that the organisation needs a strong and knowledgeable Council to guide it through the next few years and especially with Brexit looming.I would urge all BASC members to vote.

Only members resident in Wales can vote in the Welsh ballot. The easiest way to vote is to register on-line and vote electronically. If you go to: https://basc.org.uk/basc-council-elections-candidates/ you can view the candidates and from there go on to vote. Whilst I am standing as a candidate for Wales, which is where I live and regularly shoot, I will also be representing the interests of deer stalkers across the UK.


If you believe that I will make a valuable member of Council and you are able please pass this on to other BASC members living in Wales. Why is the director of the Deer Initiative standing for election to BASC council?

Isn't there a conflict of interest there?

Also isn't it a bit much to advertise the fact on a site you have been a member of for the last 8+ years and have only contributed to 16 times?

My thoughts entirely. I don't have a vote but if I did it would be for the bloke that actively supports and participates in the UK's leading deer stalking website...
