This is the one to get, the Perentie Surveillance. The Aussies removed whatever electrical system the British had decided on, and installed their own over-engineered 24v power system for their radios, winch, etc, which can be used now to run a large portable fridge / freezer, as well as MASSIVE spotlights for those trips out at night. A good one at auction will come with decent newish batteries and the auxiliary alternator to keep the juice flowing, and they are dead simple to add solar to. The roll over protection is worth having. They come with new Falkens on 7.50x16 rims and those tyres will outlast the vehicle. For a two-person beach fishing or hunting truck, they make a cheap and cheerful but very effective wagon.
There's quite a lot of these - and the FFR version - making their way into the outback in Aus, and to the UK I understand, but you do need a strong constitution to survive the entire lack of any form of comfort.
There you go Heym, we've solved your problem, get one of these.
