Packham and Co. causing trouble again...

Sent a reply, polite but quite firmly advising them to ask B.A.S.C. and S.A.C.S. for their feedback as they are much more likely to give honest replies than the one sided and very biased tunnel visioned statements they are likely to receive from the likes of Chris Packham.

Also asked why you couldn't select the option for wildlife watching and conservation and the option for hunting, I'm sure may of us use for both

I also mentioned that the biggest majority of shooters just like myself also spend a lot of their time watching wildlife and are huge advocates of conservation.

Done and stressed the links between hunting shooting and conservation often but not exclusively at a personal or small group level.

Absolutely stunned at the bias that the survey questions have? For any public survey to be credible it should be completely neutral in the way that it's questions are structured to avoid influencing any responses. As others have pointed out; the fact that the first question treats wildlife watching/conservation and sporting hunting as mutually exclusive subjects discredits the whole survey. Hope BASC/SACS get this addressed ASAP :banghead:

did the report raise any issies... no, some of those manufacturers I was unaware of and will in future look into them when aquiring new optics...
if no waht are your thoughts... I would like them to lower prices, though given the quality of optics these days and the time and effort going into research thats highly unlikely.

great survey.. what utter idiots.. really_!?

I am not going to respond to this survey Ethical Consumer has already written the article, in 2016!

Fishing for more companies to discredit I reckon?

from their own website:
Sport Hunting's Impacts

The impacts of sport hunting are complex and vary depending on the socio-political and ecological context in which hunting occurs.

From an ecological perspective the impacts of sport hunting are unclear, and it is an area that needs further exploration.

... so if its unclear even to them.. what is their fuss about?

Twisty and turny .Twist your words and turn them around to use against hunting, survey done .Dont think theyl like my answers but then if the stopped trying to force their narrow minded views on the world and accepted others ideas and ways of life then Packham wouldnt be the despised creature he has become.
