Coyote, wolf and predetors in the usa

thats my kind of hunt!!

unfortunately wolf in the usa is protected after they shot em all out!!
they reintroduced them into wyoming (yellow stone) from a wolf pack from southern bc (the wolf in southern bc arent very big 60-70 pounds average) but ive heard there doing very well down there and are spreading out to montana and neibouring states.
north bc and north alberta have huge timber wolfs upto 200 pounds , alaska has good wolf hunting too!

Conibear,

The Steenbuck is a solitary antelope, the size of a domestic cat only six inches taller. it tends to preceed herds of other, larger, antelope.

It's nature is to freeze on sight. We the hunter tend to do the same. He who blinks first tends to run off.....

I lucked in last year in that the Steenbuck was looking head on at the tracker in front of me at about 140 metre. I was behind the tracker. All parties stopped.

Who would blink first......

Now, a Steenbuck is only four inches wide, maximum. I plopped my 9.3 x 62 onto the tracker's shoulder. Steenbuck didn't blink.

BANG!!!!! and a three legged Steenbuck.

Not happy, bone and skin and blood but no carcass. One hour tracking something that has the hoof size of your own little finger....

Went into a Porcupine hole in the end. Interesting extraction....

I'm coming round to the idea of the Challenge of the Little Five in Africa.

I dont quite know how to answer.

I dont WISH to shoot anything, Im not one of those people that likes to "tick the box" when I have shot something.

I would like the opportunity to go on a boar hunt, whether I was beating or shooting I would be happy either way, I would just like to experience it.

As for all the other beautiful animals that some people travel the world to shoot...... na, no thanks.

Christ, Im sounding old!

You must wish to shoot things otherwise you wouldn't be on a Stalking forum.

CWD and Boar without the massive price tag.
