I currently use IMR 4064 for my reloading (.308win 168gn Nosler ballistic silver tip).
It looks like this powder along with others will soon be banned for sale within the EU.

Any ideas as to a suitable (and widely available) replacement powder?

Simple, VihtaVuori N140 :D

Or if you live in a strange place where you can't get Viht then Ramshot Tac is also pretty good (a little temperature sensitive).

Thanks for that,
id already thought about viht140 so nice to have that confirmed!
anyone know if reloader 15 is on the banned list?

+1 again on N140

My understanding is that the Alliant Reloder powders are OK. Powder made in Sweden

Czech Lovex SO62 is very close to IMR-4064. (It used to be sold here as Accurate-4064). Other possibilities are:

Alliant Re15 (yes - all Alliant Reloder grades are Reach Compliant)

IMR-4166 'Enduron'.

Viht N140. (Slower burning N150 gives very good results in 308 with 168gn bullets too)

Reload Swiss RS50 and RS52 (high-energy)

Ramshot TAC and Wild Boar (ball powders)

Hodgdon CFE223 (Ball)

Lovex DO73.6 (Ball)

Norma 201, 202, and 203B (this very similar to Re15 if not the same thing).

I've loaded .308 with Norma 202 but a couple of years ago it just disappeared of the shelves for about 18 months. So i went over to Norma 201 for my 147fmj target round and that produces a nice accurate round with a mild recoil. I load my hunting rounds, 160 Norma Oryx with 203B.
Vit N140 i have been playing with loading 8x57 Jrs for my double rifle. I've developed a very accurate and consistent load for the double rifle with N140.
