Strangest Thing Interrupted While Stalking/Shooting

So... Out lamping last night on one of our permissions when we see a fox in the distance that leads to a successful shot. On approach, we hear music in the distance and see the reflection of a car abandoned at the end of the field. On further inspection, turns out that there was a full on rave going on in the woods behind! Strobe lights, gennerator, sound system the lot! All in the middle of nowhere. Pretty dangerous seeing as we had just buried a .243 round into the bank of the hill leading up to the entrance of the clearing. Still, live and let live!

How about you guys?

Playing devils advocate here for those who against modern tech but a perfect excuse for a thermal ......have a scan before hand check no ravers out their skull wandering about?

get raves close to my stalking ground fairly regularly. Neighbouring hill land sits next to an unfenced minor road and has been a popular picnic spot for decades. Unfortunately it now attracts less savoury elements.

I pass them on the way in and avoid the bottom end of the forest when they are about. Even at the very top of the forest, about 4 km as the crow flies) you can hear the "music" booming out at 5 a.m.!

this time of year shaggers/doggers.they park in a34 laybys and walk straight to the woods/hedge row.

Shooting a golf course. Mate had ID fox cubs and vixen. Drew a bead on one with a big bunker behind.
All of a sudden a hooded dude on a mountain bike literally whizzes round the bunker drops the wheels and then sits crossed legged on a mobile being whatched by some very bemused foxes and and a ****ed off shooter and driver.
Turns out.....after removing flea from ear....that it was a computer game where you have to get tokens in random places on a geographical basis. Pokemon I think. They decided it was OK to put virtual tokens on a golf cours at 0200 hrs to be chased by a teenage moron trespassing on private land and well off the pathways used by the golfers let alone ights of way.
Height of stupidity.

I was stalking in Thetford Forest about 10yrs ago, I'd just got to the Beat (4.00am) unlocked barrier and heard music, drove in and found about cars, people music all having great time. I phoned it in and left them to it.

Same place, Dead body in car, in summer. ET found it by scent.

I once took up a position overlooking a hay field - specifically on request of the landowner, who had seen lots of deer there. Next a very large air balloon decides that my field would be an ideal landing spot. 6 people jump out and cars with support crew turn up to recover the balloon and the aviators. Nothing shot, in case you wonder.

Last year, first day of the buck season i was sat in a high seat over looking one of my swamps. Last year i called a nice buck out on the swamp. As i sat there i heard a helicopter not to far away. from its sound and the way it was flying i thought it was liming the local lakes. The helicopter seemed to get nearer and nearer. Suddenly it appeared low over the trees and what seemed right in front of me let a load of lime loose. The lime floated down a few meters in front of me in a big grey cloud into the swamp. I decided it was not such a good idea to sit there so came home. Good bit of flying on the part of the helicopter though.

Out of interest, why are they liming lakes and swamps?
