Why is the time stamp on posts always an hour out?

if vBulletin can’t cope with BST can Admin set up a reset? :-|

Its correct on a post I have just put up!

All times are GMT. The time now is 15:47.

It's Chrome OS on a Chromebook.
Cut, pasted, and posted a few mins ago at 16.51.
See what I mean? It's a job for Admin I think.

You have selected the wrong time settings in the user panel for this forum.

Neil.
Now that's a good idea, but it's set by default as " (GMT) Western Europe Time LONDON "

I'm really feeling tired these days as Midnight doesn't come until 1 AM.

Having found that setting, getting to "automatically detect BST" should be a doddle :thumb:

Thanks Hornet 6 and Redlabel… we’re approaching a solution.:???:

The time settings in everyone’s profile under ‘General Settings’ is the same as mine, as there’s only one UK time setting which is GMT London. This is on a dropdown menu in vBulletin so isn’t adjustable.

I’ve reset this option manually which forces Daylight Saving Time ON, although DST ON is enabled automatically. That default setting isn’t working.

The forum time & all the post times now agree with Google time on my Chromebook. I won’t know until the Send tit is pressed on this post whether the fix works.

Fix didn't work as all post times set back one hour after posting.
Now changing my cookie settings to 'enabled'.
This is fun ... I don't think.:D

It only effects guests, when you are logged on it uses whatever you choose e.g. GMT +1, GMT -5

I’ll set it to use GMT +1 when your logged off if you like. It isn’t automatic and I doubt I’ve done it for years but if it makes you happy

Nope.
I can't post unless I'm logged in, and it's still wrong then.

PS Spotted the effects of that change. The time is right when logged in & out. I'm a happy soldier now, thank you.:tiphat:
