Looking for .223 leaning towards tikka t3 or a browning x bolt.

What’s people’s thoughts on the x bolt? or better spending a bit more and get a tikka?

I'm in the market for that very same calibre. It'd be the Browning for me all day long. I have the A-Bolt in .270, and had the same rifle in 22-250. I swear by them

There was a t3 stainless package on Guntrader only had 30 round through it for £1000 txt the guy yesterday already took deposit. Kidding my self I was not quick enough.

tikka t3 supervarmint in 204 all day long theres one for sale on hear its not mine why 223 had two of them 222was better in every way 204 best of the bunch

I have a tikka and it's a lovely rifle I also have a Howa 1500 stainless in 223 and although not quite as smooth out the box as the Tikka I really like it and shoots just as well

I've got two T3 Lites. One is a 1-10" twist and the other a 1-8" twist. Both drive tacks.~Muir

Sorry should have said it will be used for roe & fox, will need to be 1-8 twist for the heavier bullets. I used a Tikka T3 through my apprenticeship that was a dedicated right hand rifle but never had any problems with it.

I use a 1 in 12 and that is super accurate with Sako 55gr soft point ,
A left hand t3 has just appeared in the classified section

Personally I would not buy a long action rifle in 223. I much prefer something built to scale. I am left handed but shoot off my right shoulder. Thanks to the Army having a right hand only rifle. I have a right master eye so it’s same shoulder for shotguns too.
The advantage is that you have far more choices than left hand specific rifles. I have a CZ527 and a Sako 75 both are built to scale. Makes a nicer rifle to carry as you’re not lugging extra weight around.
The American model CZ’s might fit your needs to shoot off your left if you’re not bothered about right side bolt.
