Yorkshire Shooting Accademy

Hi,

I live in north yorkshire and have been looking for a decent range to zero my rifle and keep my eye in as i currently dont have access to local stalking grounds. I've recently came across Yorkshire Shooting Accademy who have ranges near Patley Bridge, but they also seem to offer a lot of different 'members packs' ranging from range and clay members, to stalking and vermin control.

Does anyone have any experience with them, are they good value for money etc.?

I was going to head over for a chat and see what they are about but thought id see if anyones got any experience with them beforehand.

Be very wary about handing over any money....bad reports on other forums.
Where in North Yorkshire are you based?

Thanks for the replys, had a look at sweethills, not good reviews or opinions. All sounds a bit concerning really. Shame, sounded a good place, but i suppose if it sounds too good...

Have a look at Pickering rifle club , 300 / 200 / 100 yards range and Strenshall mod range's 300 / 500 / 600 all through Pickering club , I'm in the same boat as you since moving from the Highlands .

Thanks, I might head up to pickering soon to see what they're like. Had a few people recommend it there.

Another alternative is Richmond and District. We have a short range on the first Saturday of the month at Catterick, then a selection of booked days on MOD ranges mostly at Leyburn March to September or thereabouts. Bit further than Pickering.
