Most reliable ?

My experience of Mitsubishi is they are best avoided , ( spent many years working on them ) i would go Toyota build quality , reliability and residual value .

Indeed. I don't particularly like the mitsubishi myself. However, none of the other 4x4 manufacturers can match their price for contract hire.
I can't afford to buy even a clapped out second hand Toyota, let alone carry the cost of keeping an older vehicle running, but with careful budgeting I get a brand new affordable mitsubishi pickup every 2 - 3 years. It's a no-brainer.

What are the servicing and insurance costs? You are tempting me again.

I have to get it serviced once a year. Cost of doing that is the same as you'd pay for any other similar vehicle.
Likewise insurance, same as any vehicle you own, just shop around until you get the best deal. I'm with nfu, but to be honest I could probably get it cheaper. I stove in the front end of my first contract hire pickup in a smash on the M6, and the nfu sorted it all out, no problem, to be fair to them, although my premium did go up a bit afterwards.
(Incidentally, there was no extra charge on the contract hire as a result of the smash, as it was repaired as good as new.).
