Stalking backpack

Hi, looking to buy a rucksack for stalking, ideally one that has the option to carry the rifle as well.
Unsure what the best option is.
Has anyone had experience with one?

Vorn all the way. not cheap but they really are the business.

Comes in 3 sizes, fox, lynx and a bigger one (can't remember the name off hand). I have used a lynx for about 15 months and wouldn't be without it. Rirfle is carried centrally and totally protected , yet can be released and in the firing position almost as quickly as un-slinging.

The video on the Vorn web site show the user grabbing and retrieving their rifle over their shoulder but as an oldie i'm not flexible enough to do that. However its just as easy to reach round to the small of your back and grab the rirfle by the stock.

Gregor, I see you are in the Borders, i'm near Peebles if you want to have a look at the packback

I have the Kuiu one, you buy the frame and then can attach any size pack you like. Its setup so that you can put a whole roe carcass between the frame and bag, it works really well, I have carried a buck for 3 miles without any discomfort. There is a rifle sling attachment but its not as slick as the Vorn one, but the Kuiu is king if you actually shoot something.

Mines the 3200, it would be big enough for a light weight camping trip. Its light but well made, i'd go for the Icon range rather than the ultra. I think the icon has more features / pockets.
