Tier one evolution bipod

Looking for anyone who has one of the the Bipods , how it performs ,and are the rails specific to rifle makes as they differ in price

It's a super piece of kit. All Tier One stuff is always well designed and built. The rails are for different types of fittings, nothing more. Picatinny and QD stud are the most common, but Blaser and Anschutz have proprietary systems and hence why they are listed on the site as options. The only reason I'm selling mine is because it doesn't fit on my chassis - which I'm gutted about!

I fitted one to the front of my Blaser R93 OffRoad Pro using the spigot adapter but there was too much flex in the fore-end for my liking. If there was a means to fit it to the bipod stud where’s there’s more strength it would still be here...shame as it’s a nice bit of kit and goes a long way to getting the pivot axis close to the barrel axis.

I’m now using one of the Tactical pods....very nice.

I use a tactical bipod that uses the same mounting attachments as the other one, the bipod itself is better than anything ive used,

I have to agree with Eric however and say that the Blaser front stud mount is a terrible design, really fiddly to attach the bipod in a hurry and yes far far too much side to side movement if you wanted to attach it before stalking into a herd, or just simply want to leave it on for your stalking because, if like me you have lots of flat-ish fallow ground, I do often leave the bipod on.

Tried to take the slack up in various different ways and then finally accepted that it wasnt going to work for me and started looking for different ways to attach it.

Atlas bipod ( I think B&T industries ) Make a really low profile 2" long picatinny rail for about £30, I fitted this to the front of my R8 stock using the bipod stud hole, and drilled a second hole in the removable end to the stock, What a difference it makes, can leave it on all day or remove and attach quietly in a few seconds. Just my opinion but that is the way to go to get the most from this bipod.

Sorry yo jump on your thread. I want to change to a Bipod that the fore end is cradled in like this. Is it only Tier One that makes this style?

It is very much dependant on your stock.

I prefer mine over the fortmeier. The Lower apex handles recoils really well.

Hi George

Sorry to dig out an old thread but would love to see a pic of your rail fix. Just got a Tier One Evolution, its a great piece of kit but getting that flex on the end of the stock of the R8 Pro.

All the best

Nick
