I use a tactical bipod that uses the same mounting attachments as the other one, the bipod itself is better than anything ive used,
I have to agree with Eric however and say that the Blaser front stud mount is a terrible design, really fiddly to attach the bipod in a hurry and yes far far too much side to side movement if you wanted to attach it before stalking into a herd, or just simply want to leave it on for your stalking because, if like me you have lots of flat-ish fallow ground, I do often leave the bipod on.
Tried to take the slack up in various different ways and then finally accepted that it wasnt going to work for me and started looking for different ways to attach it.
Atlas bipod ( I think B&T industries ) Make a really low profile 2" long picatinny rail for about £30, I fitted this to the front of my R8 stock using the bipod stud hole, and drilled a second hole in the removable end to the stock, What a difference it makes, can leave it on all day or remove and attach quietly in a few seconds. Just my opinion but that is the way to go to get the most from this bipod.
