Very simply put a ban on trophy imports into the UK will devalue the wildlife to a point where there will be no reason to protect it. We will then be forced to look at alternative land use options across Zimbabwe and indeed Southern Africa FURTHER threatening the wildlife we are trying to protect

Boris is also on about banning the retention of any antlers from deer hunted in the UK as his Mrs and the antis are classing that as trophy hunting too. Cant see how they are going to do that??

What a nonsensical bill we are members of the IUCN and CITES if they are prepared to allow a permit for import/export then surely the hunting is sustainable and not detrimental to the species overall, this bill is simply a knee jerk reaction to so called public outrage.

Like fox hunting the vast majority of people simply didn't care and had no opinion for or against and therefore their own MPs stance on the subject was irrelevant.

Trophy hunter: anyone who shoots an animal that could be stuffed, had antlers or other attributes that could be mounted, or any animal which the shooter could be photographed near the corpse of. Any non-vegan basically.
